Remember Jesus words – Buhari tells Nigerians in Easter message
President Muhammadu Buhari (retired Major General) has urged Nigerians not to give up in the face of the challenges facing the nation.
In his 2022 Easter message to Nigerians, Buhari expressed optimism that Nigeria would soon overcome insecurity.
He called on Nigerians to continue to show love for one another, shun hatred, and be patriotic for the betterment of the nation.
Describing this year’s event as unique for Christendom in Nigeria and the world at large.
“Easter inspires the resilience of the human spirit within us so that we do not fall on our knees in the face of life’s perceived challenges,” Buhari said.
“This moment encourages us to believe that the current situation of uncertainty and insecurity will soon become history.
President Buhari also urged Nigerians to show “love for one another, rather than hatred during the festivities – and patriotism, because this is the only country we have.”
“I command you, therefore, to live out the eternal words of Jesus Christ on the cross where He says,” Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. “Let us remember that the scriptures emphasizing love are more important to us today as a society than ever before.
President Buhari during Ramadan calls on believers to fast, pray, help the poor, give aims, repent of their sins and refrain from violence and strife.
