“By 2023, God willing, it will be another year for the APC in Nigeria,” Lawan said in response to Asiwaju Tinubu’s announcement of his intention to run for the APC presidency,”

The Senate President said: “Most of the challenges we face in our country today are international challenges.

“We are facing insecurity in some parts of the country. However, we took it upon ourselves in 2015 when President Muhammadu Buhari announced that he would tackle terrorism in the North East at that time, and despite the challenges, Buhari was indeed very successful. Lawan said

He added that “I am hopeful that given the recent outcomes, before May 29, 2023, the security challenges in the country will be historic.

The Senate President commended APC National Leader Asiwaju Tinubu for endorsing the APC.

“Tinubu, we have all given attention to you, and we are excited to have you here.

“When you were governor, the people enjoyed a great deal of democracy. However, this visit was made to strengthen our relationship, although we have known for a long time who you are, and we enjoyed the visit, we appreciate it, ”he said.

“The APC National Assembly, especially the APC Senate, is the backbone of our party.

“From 2019, this caucus has shown patriotism, commitment, dedication, focus, and a clear vision to ensure that the achievements of 2015 and 2019 are used as a political party as a whole for the benefit of the people of Nigeria.

“Asiwaju, from 2019, when we were elected, this APC, by the APC Senators, has stood firm in endorsing our party’s policies, showing moral commitment to the party, and showing loyalty. We worked with ourselves and the executive of the government.

“Today, the APC government has achieved a lot, although there is still a long way to go, we have achieved success from 2019 to date due to the commitment of the national Assembly All Progressive Change (APC) Caucus.

“We have proved our determination to continue to serve the people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The great leader of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), needs the commitment of the members of the House of Assembly all over the country.

“You have done a lot as a Governor, you are a member of the National Assembly, and you will continue to be a member of this special parliamentary.

“We have learned unparalleled things from you. What we need to move forward today is to ensure that our APC members all over the country continue to have faith and determination and wherever we are challenged, we should we have to be visionary in making decisions. This will reverse any negative mood.

“As a government, President Muhammadu Buhari has provided good leadership … we have four years between 2015 and 2019.

“In the earlier years, I mean the APC between 2015 and 2019, as a government, has not lost its power to perform fully.

“It should continue to be implemented, and in the meantime, I want to assure you that the APC members in the Senate and even in the National Assembly in both Houses, will keep working hard until we keep our promise in 2023, ”Lawan concluded
