Tambuwal Praises NNPC Belemo Oil Company For Community Development

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on Tuesday thanked the National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Belema Foundation for providing drinking water to the people.

According to the governor, both NNPC and Belema Oil deserve to be commended for their social work for the benefit of the people of Sokoto State as they do for other communities in the country.

He noted that this was not the first project being implemented by NNPC in collaboration with Belema Oil in the state, indicating that both parties were building a guest house at Usman Danfodio University in Sokoto.

Meanwhile, the governor called on individuals to assist the government in providing water, health, education, and other necessities to the people.

He also called on the beneficiary communities to observe the project and be prepared, as directed by the State Ministry of Water Resources to work with the beneficiary communities and ensure their success.

Addressing the gathering, His Highness the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, while acknowledging that water supply is vital to human life, commended NNPC and Belema Oil, emphasizing that their own should be imitated.

In his remarks, the founder of Belema Oil, Mr. Jack Rich, who carried out the project in collaboration with NNPC, said the project was designed to help the community with water. showing Nigerian unity.
